This Thing Is Really Happening

I just got off the phone with the group that organized my upcoming trip to finalize some logistics on transporting my bike to San Francisco. Upon hanging up, I was immediately hit with some stomach butterflies. It was one of those "wow, this thing is really happening" moments. It was not the first time I experienced one of those moments, and I am certain that it will not be the last.

That said, I admit that I am extremely excited for the adventure. I am confident that the bike trip will be an experience filled with memories that I will forever cherish. I am equally confident that I will not regret my decision to take on this challenge in spite of how much I know I will miss my family and friends while I am gone.

As I mentioned in earlier posts, my plan is to blog on a daily basis once the trip begins. I hope that all of you will continue to visit the site, and I thank you all for the continued support!
