After the trail ended, I hit the SAG stop, and pedaled with a group of riders until I decided to pull off and take some pictures. My photos of the day can be found here. I apologize that they are not in chronolgical order, and will do my best to make sure it does not happen again.
After losing the group I had been riding with, I hammered away on my own. It was nice to have some time and be with my own thoughts, and climbing some of the hills solo was a nice prep for tomorrow's big day through the mountains.
As I approached Auburn, I stopped at a deli for a sandwich, and then made my way to the hotel.... or so I thought. I ended up taking some wrong turns and ended up in Old Town. In hindsight, it was for the best as I wanted to see it anyway. Eventually, I made my way back to the hotel, but stopped at a bike shop to pick up some odds 'n' ends.
Now, I am sitting in the hotel room, contemplating whether to take a nap, or hit the pool. Life is good!

HI John :
ReplyDeleteI just can't get enough of this stuff! I saw a picture of a man with a head set on with a microphone . What is it used for ?
E-you soon Dan
Loving the updates hurls - keep 'em coming!
ReplyDeleteWill do, Cliff.
ReplyDeleteDan, to answer your question: that guy with the microphone (Tony) is riding with his son, and it's part of the walkie-talkies that they brought along so they can communicate as they ride.
