Hello from Winnemucca, Nevada. Winnemucca: it just sounds like a place you should visit, doesn't it? Well, thankfully, 73 miles after departing OJ Simpson's new hometown, I have arrived, and I can officially say that I have been here.Another tough ride today -- one that was basically broken up into thirds. From a headwinds perspective, the first leg had even stronger headwinds than yesterday. The second was about the same, and the third was not quite as grueling. Once again, we spent a good portion of our ride on I-80. Essentially, today's ride was a slightly smaller version of yesterday's ride.
Since I bored you to tears with the details yesterday, I will let my photos of the day do the talking today.
On a separate note, I want to thank you all for your continued support. I have received several encouraging blog comments, texts, emails, phone calls, etc. and I want you all to know that I am truly thankful and appreciative.
I bet you're looking forward to Salt Lake City. I can't believe you're still so geared up. I didn't even have long pants on my trip, and our climbs were much warmer (even though we left three weeks earlier). This looks like more fun! Keep pounding! GO CELTS! Call me if you get a chance. Love ya, D.
